Frequently asked questions
How do I cancel my subscription?
Open the iOS Settings app → tap your name at the top → Subscriptions → Squat Alarm → Cancel. Squat Alarm doesn't process billing — that's done through your Apple ID.
Why does Squat Alarm ask for camera access?
The camera is how the app counts your reps. It uses Apple's Vision framework to detect your body pose in real time — no footage is recorded or sent anywhere. The camera feed stays entirely on your device.
Why does the alarm need special permission?
Squat Alarm uses iOS 26's AlarmKit to schedule alarms that break through Silent mode, just like a standard alarm clock. Without this permission the alarm can't fire reliably.
What happens if I skip the squats?
There's no way to dismiss the alarm without completing your reps. You can snooze for 3 minutes, but the alarm fires again after that. If you stop the alarm from the lock screen without doing reps, Squat Alarm detects this and reschedules it in a few seconds.
The camera isn't counting my reps correctly. What should I do?
Make sure you're in good lighting and your full body is visible in the frame. Squat Alarm tracks your knee angles to count reps — step back from the camera until your hips, knees, and ankles are all in view.
How do I wipe all my data?
Open Squat Alarm → Settings → Delete All Data. This removes every alarm, history entry, and preference from your device. It also resets the anonymous ID used for analytics. You'll see the onboarding flow again on next launch.
